Assessment
Technology assists in the assessment of the learning outcomes. Planning the assessment of student learning outcomes is an essential component of teacher’s role. Student performance must be effectively evaluated in order to judge both the progress of the students and the effectiveness of the instruction, and technology can assist teachers in the collection of both formative and summative data that will help determine if students are meeting the learning outcomes for a particular lesson or unit. This resource area provides suggestions and practical examples of successful assessment of learning outcomes with the assistance of technology.
